The NIL CCIE Data Center Lab Bootcamp is a set of practical tasks for engineers and individuals who are preparing for the Cisco CCIE Data Center exam.
NIL has developed a set of learning activities to help candidates with preparation for Cisco CCIE Data Center certification. The NIL CCIE Data Center Lab Bootcamp is a comprehensive three-phase program consisting of pre-Bootcamp, lab exercise Bootcamp, and post-Bootcamp activities to give attendees the maximum level of value and support for their lab exam preparation. The NIL CCIE Data Center Lab Bootcamp will be available beginning November 30, 2012.
NIL CCIE Data Center Lab Bootcamp program:
- First, attendees use the pre-Bootcamp assessment to establish their level of knowledge in relation to the Cisco CCIE Data Center track.
- Next, the lab exercise phase consists of hands-on remote labs using real-life equipment (e.g., Nexus 7000, Nexus 5500, Nexus 2000, Cisco UCS B- and C-series, etc.), with emphasis on building the configuration, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as “soft” skills necessary to pass the lab exam, including the time and technical constraints that are part of solving individual lab exercises in the exam. Attendees are not left alone to address all the challenges on their own, but rather have a CCIE instructor/proctor, who offers active support as needed (e.g., discussing why a certain challenge should be solved in a particular way). The topics/sections in the lab Bootcamp cover all the Data Center test components with appropriate Cisco products and technologies (i.e., computing, networking and storage) identified in the Cisco CCIE Data Center blueprints.
- In the post-Bootcamp phase, attendees can ask questions and seek information that they missed due to time constraints in the lab exercise phase, giving them an additional tool to prepare for the final lab exam.
