What are the benefits of using IPv6? What transition mechanisms exist for migrating IPv4 to IPv6? How to configure IPv6 on Cisco IOS devices? The IPv6 Fundamentals, Design and Deployment (IP6FD) 2.0 course is a five-day course that provides advanced technical information on the next-generation Internet protocol, IPv6. IP6FD encompasses design considerations, security considerations, configuration principles, configuring Cisco IOS devices for IPv6 and IPv6 transition mechanisms. The students learn the concepts of IPv6 and get the insight into Cisco IOS implementation of IPv6, including the IPv6 protocols (RIPng, OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS), transition mechanisms (tunnels, ISATAP, NAT-PT and 6to4) and services (DNS, DHCP and IP multicast). The IP6FD combines the content of former IPVSF v1.1 and IPVSD courses.
