Beno Ceglar has worked in information technology industry for over 25 years. During the first half of his career, he was an IT expert and team lead, and over the last decade, he worked primarily in sales. He was with Slovenian branch of Cisco from 2006 to 2019, acting as country lead between 2017 and 2019.
Information technology is developing rapidly, and it has become inseparably intertwined with our business as well as personal lives. It is this dynamic and influence that the technology has throughout our societies that Beno is particularly impressed with (he still claims he is an engineer at heart). He thinks that, in IT, you have to constantly learn and embrace new developments and he is convinced that technology has the potential to change the world for the better (if understood and deployed the right way). It is, therefore, not a surprise that Beno is especially motivated by customers’ business challenges and how to address them in the best way.
In this context, at NIL, he feels at home because the company is founded on similar beliefs and principles. Beno took over the role of CEO in October 2019 and he is honored that the owners of such a respected company put their trust in him. His modus operandi is business and operational excellence and, consequently, high customer and employee satisfaction. One of Beno’s key goals is to make NIL even more recognized for its excellence. He wants NIL to be known as a company that helps customers develop added value, develop new business opportunities as well as a company that has a positive impact on the communities where it operates.
Beno is a graduate of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and he holds a master’s degree in state and European studies. He lives with his wife and daughter in the suburbs of Ljubljana, and he enjoys sports in his free time.
