Bojan KotnikDirector, Learning Services
Bojan Kotnik joined NIL in 2006 as a sales coordinator in the learning and consulting department. Before that he worked as a supply manager at a packet material production company. The experience he brought to NIL also helped him to be quickly promoted to the role of account manager.
His first clients were NIL’s learning partners in the EMEAR region. In 2010, after 3 successful years on this market, Kotnik directed his focus to European telecom operators. Clients from both segments appreciated his excellent understanding of Cisco learning portfolio and his ability to find the right training to match their needs.
The next step in Kotnik’s career was a natural evolution of his previous responsibilities. In 2012 his account became Cisco, one of NIL’s most important partners. His main task in the new role was supporting Cisco worldwide, both for the enablement of Cisco Experts and for the enablement of Cisco VIP end customers, i.e. Service Providers, Chanel Partners and Enterprises. The sales results – 2 digits yearly growth – are the best example of Kotnik’s efforts. He also managed to bring NIL’s partnership with Cisco to the next level, as NIL started delivering advanced CLS/HTDLS courses as well as customized courses for Cisco’s partners.
As a result-driven account manager, Kotnik has an excellent nose for business opportunities and market transition. He was one of the originators of NIL’s Technology-Led Training solutions, the concept of a video-supported training that importantly increases the probability of class delivery as well as reduces the costs of delivery – this innovation was recognized with Cisco Global Learning Partner Summit Innovation Award in 2013.
Kotnik was appointed to the position of Director of NIL Learning in 2014. In this role, he has one main task – to further expand NIL’s global footprint in the area of IT training. The start was promising – NIL became Cisco Global Learning Partner of the Year 2014 and the company expanded its training portfolio with Cisco business trainings and CWNP wireless trainings.
Kotnik is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics. He considers himself an active person in business as well as in his private life – he often goes to the seaside where he enjoys sailing and scuba diving, while in colder season you can find him on local and central European ski resorts.
