Rok Arzenšek

Rok Arzenšek

Rok is a mechanical engineer by profession but an IT engineer at heart. He shifted his focus to IT because of his fascination with the Internet’s openness and transparency. He started programming in high school, and now has more than 15 years of professional experience in IT. Prior to joining NIL in 2016, Rok had worked for telecommunication operators, a hardware vendor, and an international enterprise, where he was active in different roles – from system engineer, IT architect, R &D engineer to department leader. He has rich knowledge and practical expertise in a broad range of networking technologies and solutions. As a member of NIL’s service provider team, he is focusing on automation, service provisioning, orchestration, and network programmability.

An IT professional through and through, Rok also actively contributes back to the IT community. He is one of the founding members of the go6 institute, an initiative promoting IPv6 adoption in Slovenia as well as broader in the region.
