Engineering expertise represented NIL in the best possible light

On behalf of my engineering staff I would like to express appreciation for UCLA HS optical backbone equipment installation, which was completed by your engineer, Mr. Grega Modrijan.

As with any projects, unexpected issues sometimes occurred and presented themselves as a challenge in project success. Unfortunately, this past week showed no exception. To our admiration, Grega was able to resolve these hurdles with persistence, dedication and strong work ethic. His professional attitude represented NIL in the best possible light. The ONS installation project that Grega helped achieve is part of UCLA HS infrastructure upgrade. It provides us backbone diversity and mitigates risk of failure on our end of life aging backbones. It was a milestone for UCLA healthcare towards a more resilient, scalable, and robust infrastructure. Grega has shown us he is a stellar professional not only with his expertise in the Cisco ONS system but also with communicating and transferring his knowledge to our staff.

Mr. Stojan Rančić is another veteran engineer that we work with and have great respect for. During one of Stojan’s stays at UCLA, just before he had to leave for the airport, we received news that there was an issue with the Internet connectivity at one of our networks. It was quickly determined that there was a problem between the firewall and the external switch at the data center. Thanks to Stojan’s quick and expert intervention the issue was resolved within minutes and the connectivity was re-established, allowing users to access the Internet services once again. Stojan once again proved his expertise and ability to think and act fast, which are all the qualities of a world-class consultant and engineer. Overall, we have enjoyed a great working relationship with your staff.

I want to thank both of your engineers that have contributed to our efforts to renovate and redesign our network systems. We hope to achieve more great things together with your assistance for the upcoming internet migration.
