Palo Alto Cortex XDR in practice
An overabundance of incidents or false alarms can make the work of security analysts very difficult, as it increases the time to detect and respond to an actual cyber attack. Intelligent (and properly configured) tools can help them a lot. In the workshop, Uroš Šuštar therefore explained how we use Palo Alto Cortex XDR at NIL and how some of the most effective functionalities work in practice: automated analytics, instant forensics, manual and automated incident response, and connection to global security incident databases.

Uroš je eden vodilnih domačih poznavalcev požarnih pregrad naslednje generacije (ang. Next Geneneration Firewall), specializiran za rešitve podjetja Palo Alto Networks. Ima več kot 5 let izkušenj z njihovo implementacijo, podporo, načrtovanjem in vzdrževanjem, hkrati pa o požarnih pregradah Palo Alto Networks kot pooblaščen inštruktor predava v Sloveniji in tujini. Uroš se je NIL-u pridružil leta 2017 kot varnostni inženir. Poleg sodobnih požarnih pregrad in informacijske varnosti dobro pozna tudi tehnologije poslovnih omrežij, brezžične rešitve (Aruba, Rucus, Fortinet), rešitve Microsoft (Active Directory, MS SQL, Exchange), okolje Linux ter orodja za spremljanje omrežij (Cacti, Zabix). Ima tudi bogate izkušnje z vzdrževanjem in nameščanjem sistemov IP-telefonije, vzdrževanjem omrežij in strežniških sistemov ter upravljanjem in podporo brezžičnih omrežij.
